We’ve all heard of the saying “practice makes perfect” when trying to improve an attribute. However, another saying “form follows function” can also mean that if there is a dys-function or something that doesn’t allow a specific body part to do its job correctly, there will be a compensation. Through her master’s thesis research, Dr. Stagg evaluated whether the direction of walking would be changed by different bite relationships. The study determined whether a minor change in height on one side of the mouth would be expressed as a change in the walking direction. Pretty cool, right!???
